Affordable memorial flights to the stars and beyond

We provide space memorial flights to celebrate life. Ashes are launched into orbit onboard SpaceX rockets to be placed amongst the stars to look back down on loved ones and seed the birth of new stars.

StardustME memorial flights are the perfect tribute to honouring life and provide a means to interact and honour loved ones in a novel and meaningful way. Celebrate a life less ordinary with a journey to the stars.

Launch

Onboard the Falcon 9 reusable SpaceX rocket, a purpose-built capsule containing the ashes is carefully and respectfully placed. All components have been expertly designed by an experienced aerospace engineer and have passed rigorous testing specified by SpaceX. After checks are complete and the capsule is mounted, we are ready for launch at Cape Canaveral or Vandenberg.

Orbit

The capsule containing the ashes will orbit the earth for up to 10 years mounted in a state-of-the-art satellite. Eventually, in a breath-taking finale, the capsule will harmlessly re-enter the Earth’s atmosphere, blazing as a shooting star.

Track

Observe the ashes crossing the night sky in real-time. Receive notifications when the satellite carrying the ashes will be passing over your location.

How it works.

Our specially designed memorial token, containing a symbolic portion of a departed’s ashes, quietly orbits the Earth for around five years whilst family and friends can follow this journey through the stars using a mobile tracker. In a last poetic moment, the spacecraft harmlessly re-enters the Earth’s atmosphere, blazing as a shooting star.

A unique choice of memorial tokens waiting to be personalised with your message. You will also receive a keepsake token in a presentation case as a memory of the experience.

StardustMe maiden voyage, 31st January 2023.

An orbital-class rocket carries the ashes to around 500km above the planet’s surface, to the region known as low-earth-orbit. Here, the view is breath-taking. The international space station passes by. You can see the curvature of the Earth, the faint blue glow of the atmosphere, rubbing shoulders with the other stars, peace, serenity and the deepest silence imaginable.

We come from the stars. The carbon, nitrogen and oxygen atoms found in all life on earth, including humans, was produced originally in stars billions of years ago.

“Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And, the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than the atoms in your right hand. It really is the most poetic thing I know about the universe: you are all stardust.” - Physicist Lawrence Krauss
